My Testimony

Hola hola a todos!

Last week was another good one! Our friends are doing so well and a bunch of them are so close to being ready for baptism!

We started teaching a new friend named Megan. She's the fiance of Hermano Medina in the Vía Verde Ward. She already has a testimony and wants to be baptized! Now she just has to finish all of the missionary lessons. We had a couple more lessons with our friend Amy. She also has a testimony and wants to be baptized! She has almost been taught all of the missionary lessons and is super close to setting a baptismal date. We talked to our friend Carol about baptism and she wants to be baptized too! However, because she is an older woman, she has some worries about baptism at her age. We invited her to pray, and we are also praying for her to be able to overcome these worries. Our friends Miguel and Shirley have had to postpone their baptismal date for a little while because of some medical stuff. Shirley is going to talk to her doctor, and we're hoping that they will finally be able to get baptized on May 11th! Its so amazing to see all of these wonderful people progress towards baptism. The Lord is working miracles in this area!

I can't even put into words how thankful I am for the time that the Lord gave me to serve Him as a missionary. I had no idea that I could feel so much joy while doing something that seemed so far out of my comfort zone. During one of our lessons a couple of weeks ago, a member of our ward named Sister Seward was sharing her testimony and she said, "I have not seen God, but I see him working in my life." Like Sister Seward, I have not see God. However, I have seen His hand in my life and in the lives of those around me. I have seen people make changes in their lives and I have done things that never would've been possible without the Savior’s help. I know with complete certainty that there is a God and that He loves us. I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Being able to testify of Him everyday for the last year and a half has been such a privilege. I testify along with the Prophet Joseph Smith that "after all that has been said, the greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel.” There is no greater work than missionary work. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I love you all! See you soon!

Con Amor,
Hermana Kendrick
