ola hola! Wow, what a week! I'm sure that most of you have already heard, but a new edition of Preach My Gospel was released last week. It has been so cool to study it and see all of the new insights and information. When talking to all of the mission presidents, President Nelson said that this new edition of Preach My Gospel is to help all of us (whether we are missionaries or not) to know how to share the gospel and to help us and those we teach become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.  I had an exchange with Sister Mitchell. She is amazing! She came to my area for the day. She is an English missionary but actually knows a little bit of Spanish. Girls camp is this week, so we helped a lady in the ward named Hermana Romero finish making some decorations for it.  My final interview with President Eyre was last week. The new mission president, President Fisk, will be here this week. I love the Eyres so much and I am sad to say goodbye, but I know that the Fisks will be amazin...

Happy Father's Day

Hola todos! I hope that you all had a great week and that all of you fathers had an amazing Father's Day yesterday. Last week, we went to St. Mary's Food Bank to do service for the first time in a little while. It was super fun to be there again. The ward also had a party last night for Father's Day. They had tons of food, and there was a DJ so everyone was dancing after dinner. Spanish wards sure know how to party!  After church, some of the men in the ward showed Carlos how to bless the Sacrament so that he can do it next week. Carlos also got a white shirt and tie and wore them to church yesterday! It was neat to see him all dressed up. The ward members have been amazing at welcoming Carlos into the ward, and it has been so cool to see him progress. We stopped teaching a bunch of our friends this week because they weren't quite ready to progress. They liked having lessons with us, but they weren't willing to come to church. We are hoping to find some new people t...

Hola hola! I hope that you are all doing well! Last week, towards the end of P-Day, Hermana Cruz and I went to eat dinner with the Bustillos family at their house for my birthday. Little did we know, they had planned a whole party and invited some people from the ward. They all surprised us as we walked in. It was so sweet! I absolutely love the Bustillos family and everyone here in La Joya. They are truly like family. That night, we also had a visit with Carlos. After the visit, he came with us to knock a few doors in his apartment complex. He asked us how we decide which doors to knock. We told him that we are guided by the Holy Ghost. He then asked if that was how we found him, and we said yes. It was a neat moment when he realized that we didn't just randomly decide to walk up to him and ask if he wanted to learn more. It was amazing to have him come with us and be a part of missionary work. We had Zone Conference last week. It was inspiring as ever. After the in-person session...

Hola todos! I'm officially 22 years old today! Thank you all for your love and support. There is nothing else I would rather be doing on my birthday than serving the Lord.  On Friday, we had Combined District Council with all of the missionaries in our zone. There were lots of transfers made because of the new mission boundaries. There are bunch of missionaries from the old Scottsdale mission who are now in my zone and some that are in my district. It has been super fun getting to know them! They are all amazing! Yesterday, after church, Carlos received the Aaronic Priesthood and a temple recommend! Now we are trying to figure out a day to go to the temple with him and do baptisms for the dead. It has been so neat to see his progression from when we first started teaching him to now. He is filled with the Spirit, and his countenance literally glows.  Over the past few weeks, we have been visiting some inactive members in our ward to get to know them and see what we can do to h...
