Faith And Testimony
Hola hola!
It has been another good week filled with lots of lessons with our friends! Our friends Danny and Andreas came to church yesterday. It was Andreas's first time and he had so much fun in primary.
Our friend Carol is doing really well too! Last week, we taught her about temples. After our lesson, we sent her a video of a temple tour and she loved it!
We started teaching a woman named Amy. She has been taught by missionaries for a few years but it has been on and off due to some health issues. She comes to church almost every Sunday and has the desire to be baptized. We just need to finish teaching her all of the lessons.
At church yesterday, we studied Enos in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Enos begins with Enos praying to be forgiven of his sins. After he has been forgiven, Enos asks "Lord, how is it done?" The voice of the Lord comes to his mind and says "Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole." I am amazed by the amount of faith that Enos had. At this point in the Book of Mormon, Christ hadn't even come to earth yet. However, Enos had faith that Christ would come and fulfill His promises. Because of Enos's exceeding faith, he was made whole. These verses in Enos also teach us about the importance of having a testimony. President M. Russell Ballard said that "a testimony is a witness or confirmation of eternal truth impressed upon individual hearts and souls through the Holy Ghost, whose primary ministry is to testify of truth, particularly as it relates to the Father and the Son. … "Simply stated, testimony—real testimony, born of the Spirit and confirmed by the Holy Ghost—changes lives. It changes how you think and what you do. It changes what you say. It affects every priority you set and every choice you make.” I know that these words are true. I am so thankful for the testimony of Jesus Christ that I have gained on my mission. It has changed me. I know that He is our Savior. Because of Him, we can be forgiven from our sins and have true joy. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
I love you all!
Con Amor,
