Transfer Week!

Hola!

Last week was transfer week. I'm still in the same area, but I got a new companion. Her name is Hermana Morgan. She is from Nebraska, and she has been serving for 11 months. She is absoultely amazing! Missionaries here aren't able to drive until their second transfer. Now that I'm in my second transfer, I can drive! I hadn't driven in 3 months! It was so weird to start driving again. I didn't realize how much I missed it haha.

Maria, Yamileth, and Yoanna got baptized on Saturday. It was amazing to see them before and after they were baptized. There was so much joy in the room. Yoanna just turned 8 a couple of months ago. She was so excited to be baptized. She had a big smile on her face when she came out of the changing room after she was baptized. It was so cute!

Our ward had a combined Christmas party with the english and french wards. Our ward brought a piñata for the kids. I learned that there is a song you're supposed to sing when someone is hitting the piñata. Translated to english, it basically says "hit it, hit it, hit it" and some other stuff that I couldn't understand haha. The people in the spanish ward know how to party, that's for sure.

We helped out at the giving machines again. There are two machines. We helped with one and our roommates helped with the other one. For district council last week, we were combined with the other districts in our zone. We talked about ways that we can increase our faith. One person said that they make a list at the end of every day of ways they saw God's hand in their day. I thought that was a really neat idea! I think that sometimes it can be hard to recognize God's hand in our lives, but He is truly in every detail. I decided that I'm going to start listing the ways that I see God's hand in my life each day. That way, even on the hard days, I will realize that He was with me. I encourage you all to start making a mental or physical list each day of the ways that you saw God's hand in your life that day. I promise that you will discover that He is so mindful of you!

I love you all!

Con Amor,
Hermana Kendrick
