Snow In Glendale!?

Hola!

Last week, Hermana Farnsworth and I helped with the Glendale Hometown Christmas Parade. We made sure that everyone was lined up in the right order and what not. The parade was over an hour and a half long! The floats just kept coming! It was crazy!

I learned that I will never be a hairdresser. Hermana Farnsworth really wanted short hair, so she asked me to cut her hair. I had never cut anyone's hair before, but I decided that I would try it. It was nerve wracking to say the least. I was literally sweating because I was so nervous haha. Cutting hair is harder than it looks! I will not being doing that again anytime soon.

A few nights ago, we decided to knock some doors in the top part of our area. We were walking up to one door, when I heard Hermana Farnsworth say "what is that?" I looked over, and there was a pile of snow! I was like where in the world are we? Hermana Farnsworth and I were so confused. We stood there for a second, thinking about all of the possible ways that the snow got there. We knocked on the door, and the lady who answered told us that her son had gone hunting up north and brought the snow back. That explanation made much more sense than all of the ones we had thought of. I absolutely love snow, so I was a little sad thinking that I wouldn't get to see any this winter. Although it wasn't much, Heavenly Father knew that I needed to see that little pile of snow. Out of all of the houses we could've knocked that night, that was the one that we were led to. Heavenly Father truly is so mindful of each one of us.

We had our mission Christmas party last week, and it was amazing! Sister Eyre goes all out for Christmas. The theme for the party was Miracle on 83rd Street, and we had a "parade of miracles." A "street" was taped on the gym floor in the church building. The parade floats were different miracles from the Bible and Book of Mormon. The entire gym was decorated like a street in New York City. President and Sister Eyre had asked family members of each missionary to write about a miracle that they have experienced in their lives. Then President and Sister Eyre printed out the miracles and gave each missionary the ones from their family. It was a surprise for the missionaries. The gym was completely silent when everyone started reading the miracles from their families. Almost all of the missionaries were crying. The Spirit in the room was so strong. It was amazing to hear about the miracles that my family has seen in their lives. It was also really neat to see everyone reading the miracles that their family wrote about. Before starting my mission, I thought of miracles as grand events that only happen every once in awhile. However, I have come to realize that miracles happen every day, we just don't always recognize them.

I encourage you all to look for the miracles that happen in your lives this week, no matter how big or small they may be. I promise that as you start looking, you will see them.

Con Amor,
Hermana Kendrick
