The Week Of Food

Hola!

Last week was wild. We had three exchanges, so I was in the English biking area for the majority of the week. We did a service activity on Tuesday at Habitat for Humanity. They were getting rid of a bunch of tables and dressors that have been in the store for a while, but they had to break them down first. They gave us sledgehammers and told us to just go at it, so that's what we did haha. It was crazy! It was like what you see on all of those home makeover shows on TV.

Until last week, I had somehow managed to avoid eating all of the foods that I don't like. Then I was given three of them on my exchanges. I ate hamburger meat, eggs, and bacon all in the same week! Trust me, I'm just as surprised as you are. The best part of all of this though is that none of it was as bad as I thought it was going to be. As I write this, I can hear my dad saying "see what you've been missing." I guess the gift of tongues applies to food too.

We ate Thanksgiving dinner with the Hernandez family from our ward. There was NO turkey! It was so weird. But we ate tacos and they were amazing! There were only nine of us there, so it was a much quieter Thanksgiving than I'm used to haha. It was great, and the Hernandez family made us feel right at home.

My companion, Hermana Farnsworth, got sealed to her parents on Friday. I was able to go to the temple with them, and it was such a neat experience. It was amazing to think that as a missionary, I am helping families prepare for that moment.

I love you all!

Con Amor,
Hermana Kendrick
