¡Hola From México!
¡Hola familia y amigos!
I made it to the MTC! It's true, the Spirit is so strong here. Being a missionary really is amazing.
My companion and district are awesome. I also love my MTC teachers. They make the MTC feel like home away from home. My Spanish is coming along very slowly, but it's definitely getting better. I live in a house with 21 other sister missionaries. There are 4 of us per room. You would be amazed at the things I have eaten here. I think I can officially say that I am no longer a picky eater.
I'm already on my 4th week of the MTC. That includes the online MTC. It's crazy how much I have learned in such a short amount of time. The most important thing I learned this past week was that I need to completely trust in the Lord. I have come to realize that when I doubt myself, I am really doubting Him and His ability to share the gospel through me.
While doing my personal study last week, I came across a quote from President Boyd K. Packer. It says, "A testimony does not burst upon us suddenly. Rather, it grows. If you nourish it, it will grow; and if you do not nourish it, it will wither." This quote reminded me that if I want my testimony to grow, I have to put forth effort. Growth doesn't just happen on its own. I encourage you to do something this week to nourish your testimony. I promise that if you put forth the effort, your testimony will grow.
I love you all so much, and I am so grateful for your support!
Con amor,
